The last couple of weeks of September have been fantastic for Red Admiral butterflies. Six at a time have been seen on several occasions, and on Friday 26th a total of 18 individuals were seen in various parts of the Garden. I cannot remember seeing so many. Nearly all of them are in mint condition, suggesting that they have recently emerged.
