The apple, pear and cherry trees in the new fruit garden are in full bloom at the moment and look delightful.

This year we have started to record the date when the trees flower. This data will contribute to the Royal Botanic Gardens Phenology project. Phenology is the study of recurring events in a plants lifecycle such as flowering. This helps us to determine how flowering and fruiting is affected by weather conditions and climate change.
