The first snowdrops are starting to unfurl in the Rock garden.
Two of the earliest species that we have are Galanthus ‘Anglesey Abbey’ and Galanthus ‘Opehlia’.
To enjoy a wider array of spring flowers head over to the Alpine House, situated in front of the Palm House. This is a veritable riot of colour, with dwarf Narcissus, Cyclamen, Crocus and the very unusual flowers of Gymnospermium albertii.

Hello! I live in Canada in the West. – B.C. And near the ocean. Today I found snowdrops blooming in our Comunity Garden. I think Scotland has very similar weather right now. We have not had snow and many flowering plants are about to burst into full bloom. I am an avid gardener and see we are enjoying a mild winter. How about in your area of Scotland. Yes, it is cold and damp and we do not plant seriously until end of April.
