Inverleith House is looking forward to presenting the 8th edition of the British Art Show, the last time it came to Edinburgh was back in 2000.

Established in 1979, the British Art Show takes place every 5 years and is organised by Hayward Touring, a contemporary art organisation producing exhibitions that tour to galleries, museums and other publicly-funded venues throughout Britain. The show is widely recognised as the most ambitious and influential exhibition of contemporary British art, with artists chosen for their significant contribution over the past five years.
British Art Show 8 opens in Leeds on 9th October 2015 and tours to Edinburgh, Norwich and Southamton. The exhibition is curated by Anna Colin and Lydia Yee and questions how artists engage with the material world, reflecting on the status of the object at a time of increasing convergence between the real and the virtual world.
