4 weeks ago I hold a big sowing session on my plot and covered with seeds almost the entire area of it. I sowed sweet peas Lathyrus odoratus ‘Cupani and Lathyrus odoratus ‘Albutt Blue’, cornflower Centaurea cyanus ‘Blue boy’, Nigella damascena ‘Miss Jekyll’, larkspur Delphinium consolida ‘Giant Imperial Mix’, Nemophila maculata ‘Five spot’ and lettuce Lactuca sativa ‘Dazzle’.

With the arrival of heat wave at the end of March all seeds germinated rapidly and small seedlings emerged through the soil. Despite the plot being covered with fleece some of the seedlings were killed by the frost that followed later. Therefore I got busy re-sowing this week to fill in any empty spaces.
