Celebrating the first exhibition in the programme and Inverleith House’s commitment to the presentation of contemporary and botanical art, two rooms within I still believe in miracles are dedicated to Elements of Botany; an exhibition of botanical drawings and plant models from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh‘s archives curated by Henry Noltie.

Located in the central rooms on the ground floor (room 2) and first floor (room 5) of the house, the works in each space have been selected from the collections of John Hope (1725-1786), John Hutton Balfour and Hugh Cleghorn (1820-1895) from the Garden’s archives, as well as paintings of Nepalese plants by Francis Buchanan-Hamilton (1762-1829) on loan from the Linnaean Society of London.
