As part of the midsummer late opening at the Botanics we are having a second shot at breaking the world record for tree hugging. Come along and join us in the record attempt on the 21st June. There will be sign-up forms available at the entrances and on the lawn outside Inverleith House from 6pm. The record attempt will take place at 8pm and will last for one minute.
During the evening there will be free entry to the glasshouses and performances including stilt walkers, aerial acrobatics, harp recital and poetry. For full details see listings.
The last attempt on the record fell just 20 short of the record set in Oregon of 951. This record was recently beaten by a tree hug involving 2,000 people in Nepal.
