A young plant of Nyssa sylvatica planted on the pond lawn is colouring well. A native to Eastern North America where it adds considerably to the swathes of autumn colour in the woodland canopy.  One of the earliest trees to colour up in the autumn and worth planting for the reliable nature of this colour. Eventually growing into a large tree often with a pyramidal shape.
