A light, open growing deciduous shrubby Honeysuckle, Lonicera deflexicalyx bears its fruit in pairs at the leaf axles or nodes, along the stem. These small berries are a glossy orange colour, showing prominently on the plant. Observe them before the birds get to them with winter weather restricting their other food sources. Growing as part of the shrub layer in forests and on the forest margins in China and Tibet at relatively high elevations 2400 – 4600 metres.
