Well established and generally slug resistant this brute of a Hosta is the ideal plant to act as a division or barrier within the garden. Hosta sieboldiana grows leaves with a blueish sheen and a water-shedding surface. Raindrops sit or roll around on the surface falling to moisten the soil beneath. This is a giant of the genus, appreciating a moist, organic soil to grow to its maximum stature. The flowers appear from deep within the mass of foliage, those that do, are a light purple in colour but of no real consequence. This is a foliage plant through and through, a true road block.
