The group of Hydrangea quercifolia growing in the biodiversity garden are still showing good autumn colour. Large distinctively shaped leaves make this a worthwhile plant to grow. The deeply lobed leaves with grey downy tomentose reverse turn shades of red before falling from the straggly growth. This is best given a light prune to manage the shape of the plant in late spring.
