In a slight departure from my usual blog format, this time I am going to post about an event which is on this weekend and is happening later today. We have the Scottish Wildlife Trust in the Real Life Science Studio highlighting their work on the conservation of native Scottish species such as Red Squirrels, Scottish Wildcats and Beavers. There will also be a chance to find out more about their Living Landscape projects which includes the Edinburgh Living Landscape.
I have referred to this in earlier posts as the sparrowhawks in the Botanics play their role with in this wider urban ecosystem. If you want to come along for this event, it is on in the John Hope Gateway visitor centre at the west gate of the Botanics and is on from 1pm to 4pm. Ask one of my colleagues to point you in the right direction on your arrival and don’t forget to keep an eye open for sparrowhawks if you also go out into the garden. If you would like to leave any comments about your day, you can below or use #BotanicsSparrowhawks on social media.
