Tropaeolum speciosum is often observed growing through woody plants and hedges at RBGE. Rarely though does it associate with its supportive partner as well as when seen growing through Hypericum androsaemum. The red flowers of the Tropaeolum highlight the golden yellow petals of the Hypericum. These small flowers are grouped in a cluster on the end of the stem. Red berries follow adding to the association. As the Tropaeolum is native to Chile and the Hypericum to Europe and North Africa, not an association to be found in the wild.
